This ruby red wine displays aromas of black fruits, such as blackberries and currants, fried bread, and notes of black pepper given by keeping it in oak vessels for 10 months. It has a generous and balanced volume, with ripe tannins and a long aftertaste. Drinkability is superb in this Cabernet Sauvignon.

The malolactic part of the fermentation took place in wooden barrels, in which the wine was left for 8-10 months to fully mature. The bottle is kept in the cellar for 3 months prior to release.

Story of the wine:
The Viile Metamorfosis brand includes multiple grape varieties, both Romanian and international, a great example of wines produced from our vineyards located in the Dealu Mare region. It consists mostly of mono-varietals, but it also includes a few blends such as this one. The winemaking style focuses on bringing out the natural characteristics of each variety and its adaptation to our terroir. Winemaker Fiorenza Rista, an Italian winemaker from Piedmont, Italy, took his opportunity in 2012 to come and explore Romanian soil and grape varieties. With an extensive winemaking background in Barolo & Chianti, his skills are clearly shown in this range of wines! An organic wine produced from two aromatic varieties, but vinified as dry. Paradoxically, it delights with its intense, fruity, and slightly floral aromas, but in taste, it surprises with freshness and balance. For those looking for contrasts.
