Bright ruby red in colour with deep dark notes in centre. On the nose, tight toasted wood nuances, the aroma bursts with red fruit, wild berries, strawberry and a light herbal. Full and intensive opulence of cassis. The body is middle weight and balanced with fresh acidity and fine elegant tannins. The finish is exemplar and long leaving a fresh a fruity feel. Persistent with great drinkability.

Vineyards with traditional grape varieties with an average age between 20 and 25 years in the Vila Nova de Tazem area. Total de-stemming. Fermentation in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature max. 26°C for 12 days. Story of the wine:
Casa Américo was born from Américo Seabra’s dream of producing wines that express his homeland, Vila Nova de Tazem, situated in the sub-region of Serra da Estrela, region of Dão. This is one of the most distinctive Dão’s terroirs where noble wines with a unique freshness and elegance are produced. When he emigrated to the United States, in 1967, took his wife and his six children, but his heart always belonged to Portugal. Around 2000, he returned to Portugal to fulfil his dream of producing wines in these mountainous lands. In 2009, the son’s decided that they should support and fulfil their father’s dream. Casa Américo was founded. Honour Mr. Américo Seabra’s memory, who produces wines that express the region and simultaneously develop and enhance it - This is the Casa Américo mission. Terroir of granitic soils, with an altitude between 400 and 600 Meters, influenced by the mountain with 2,000 Mts of altitude.
