The colour is light gold with bright orange hues on the edge. The nose is delicate with hints of white nectarine, orange peel, orange blossom, and honey. On the palate, it is elegantly balanced in acidity with a medium to long finish. Characteristics include peardrop, white peach, honeysuckle, and wet stones. It has a very persistent and interesting drinkability factor. Vegan-friendly.

Manual harvesting takes place in early October. The grapes are de-stemmed and transferred, along with the stems, to stainless steel tanks for initial processing. They undergo a cold maceration process for 5 days. A starter derived from the same grape variety is then introduced to the pressed grape juice to commence spontaneous fermentation, maintained below 18°C for over 14 days. The wine is later matured in cement vats on fine lees for a period of 2 months, followed by a final refinement stage of 6 months in the bottle.

Story of the wine:
Luigi Tana, winemaker and producer, has unveiled the highly praised inaugural vintage and Estate of Borgo Tana, established in 2022. This new project celebrates lesser-known grape varieties from Southern Italy, including Maturano, Leccinaro, Giulia, and Cabernet d’Atina. Nestled in the hills of Frosinone, Lazio, Borgo Tana crafts a limited 4,000 bottles per wine, sourced exclusively from organic high-altitude vineyards, offering exceptional quality at a fair price. The grapes are meticulously chosen from hand-harvested vineyards with minimal intervention, located near the winery at an elevation of 720 meters, reflecting a commitment to excellence and longevity in their wines, whether it's Orange wine, natural wine, or table wine.
