Domaine Girard has been a family run winery and farm since 1928 with founder Jean Girard who pushed the winery to a new level every year from his native town of Alaigne with only 7 hecatres under vine. In the 1940's the new generation took over with an installation of a bigger winery made from the stone found in the terroir and additional 10 hectare was now planted. in 2000, Philppe Girard now third generation created the first vintages of Domaine Girard. Confidences was named after the old and new ways of the family working with wine now in the hands with trust in the younger winemaker and son. The "3 peaks" is a reference to the nearby hill tops of the winery. The founding members used to walk this and meet in the centre peak.
